2009 Ended With My Second Google Adsense Check

Updated on January 10, 2010

Google Monthly Checks

I have been writing here for almost 2 years now, and until June 09 my work here at Hubpages were somehow scattered, to put plainly I didn’t know what I was doing here although I joined to write and make money, but there was no money coming from Google Adsense which was my main reasons of joining hubpages. It took 18 months to get my first check from Google, but for the second Check it has only taken four months to realized that

What I have learned

Being frustrated and not earning for almost 1 year I did quit for sometime before coming, my main reason of coming back was very simple, I wanted to earn some passive income and after doing some online research it seemed that Hubpages was enjoying writer’s approval and the kind of money people were making just by writing here

Lesson1: Treat it like a Business and not just like any Business

For me to make money and more money hear at hubpages, I have to treat it as a business and not just as any business but as e-commerce business, working with the power of leverage from those who have knowledge about hubpages

Lesson 2: Learn from my competitors rather than competing with them

Competing with hubbers here will force you to copy their writing styles which might not be easy, you will get distracted because keeping with the same pace will not be possible.

Lesson 3: Time is Money

The more quality and productive time I spend here at hubpages the more money I will be able to make. Spending most of the time here reading about SEO tricks and apply nothing from the lesson would not help me or any one. I realized I should spend more time doing article writing and learning from my articles, I will know which format is more effective and which is wasteful, what bringing me traffic and why that article is doing so well. Some of the SEO tricks here may not help you at all, but will consume your precious time implementing

Lesson 4: A reason of being here will keep you going

Having a compelling reason for being at hubpages will keep going even if others have left, but without any compelling reason, you chance of making money from any of the three affiliates here is minimal, if you here to try then you do not have a good reason that will see you get even your first check from Google or Amazon or even eBay

My main focus in 2010 is to double my 2009 effort and even earn more. Am here to make money and friends and I need to see my passive income comes reality by the end of 2010
